Storytelling is America’s superpower…

An American/kiwi - New Zealand native, I was born to American parents who immigrated to the NZ in the 60s. As a child I was fascinated American storytelling and with global power players in the industry. Ava Gardener, Speilberg, Eastwood, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Monroe all ‘had me at hello’. I became enamored with every type of storytelling, whether is be through fashion, fabric, comrodery, movie plots or in the darkroom.

Much of my early work began highlighted my fascination with capturing what cannot be communicated in words. In my final year of college I began my journey discovering how to fuse portraiture in fashion and a narrative through live music photography. I developed my masters in ‘impeccable timing,’ and thrived with the excitement and pressure of low light, live music photography. I also ran an award-winning portrait studio equally enthralled with the quick pace and capturing a natural narrative for families to pass onto the next generation.

This exciting path led me all over the world to shoot The Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Stevie Winward, Ginger Baker, Train, The Killers and have been published in Cosmopolitan, FINE, Ranch and Coast. I decided to specialize high end event photography as my instinct to be in the right place at the right time is sharp. The b best thing about what I do is finding the candid micro-moments easily missed by an iPhone and give en event narrative a sophisticated and uplifting lustre. I would love to learn your story and capture the soul of your next event or addition to your family. The most powerful moments is life cannot be put into words, I can help connect you to your kids and grandkids with a distinctive visual dialogue. Let’s chat now and see what makes sense for you and your family.
